To strengthen the evidence base for adoption, the Culture Standard is now being piloted across jurisdictions and a range of project and contract types.
The pilot program seeks to assess the benefits of reduced work hours, flexibility and access to mental health, wellness and leadership training on productivity, capacity and retention rates.

School Infrastructure NSW, Wentworth Point
New High School
Contractor: Roberts Co
A new high school is being developed to cater for the growing population in Wentworth Point, Sydney Olympic Park and Concord West.
The high school will have flexible teaching and learning spaces for approximately 1,500 students as well as a multipurpose hall for sports and performance, outdoor spaces including landscaped recreation areas, games courts, and canteen facilities.
Transport for NSW, Mulgoa Road Upgrade
Project Stage 1
Contractor: Seymour Whyte
The Australian and NSW Governments are upgrading Mulgoa Road at Jamisontown between Jeanette Street and Blaikie Road from two to three lanes in each direction and the M4 Motorway off ramps. The project has been designed to support current and future traffic demands of this growing region of Western Sydney.
NSW Government Infrastructure Traineeship
The NSW Government Infrastructure Traineeship commenced in 2021 and creates employment and training opportunities for Year 12 school leavers.
While studying a Cert IV qualification, trainees complete 8-month rotations with Government and Industry to get broad exposure to the infrastructure industry. The office-based roles attract females, first nations and regional youth and provide unique insight into the culture of the industry from their view.
Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road Upgrade

The Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road Upgrade is part of $2.27 billion of suburban road upgrades. The works will add an extra lane in each direction between Thompsons Road and the South Gippsland Highway to improve traffic flow, travel times and safety.
Brunt Road Level Crossing Removal Project
Contractor: Fulton Hogan
Communities in Beaconsfield and Officer will soon benefit from an elevated road bridge at Brunt Road, removing the dangerous and congested level crossing and boosting safety in Melbourne’s south east.
Removing this level crossing will improve safety, reduce congestion and allow more trains to run, more often. The boom gates at Brunt Road are down for up to 20% of the morning peak, when 24 trains run through the crossing, causing significant traffic delays for the 8400 vehicles that use the crossing each day.
A shared use path and separate pedestrian path along the road bridge will provide new local connections for the growing community. The boom gates will be gone for good in 2025, when the Pakenham Line will become level crossing-free.
Health Infrastructure NSW, Randwick Children’s Hospital Redevelopment
Contractor: John Holland Group
The redeveloped paediatric hospital and the new dedicated research facility will deliver life-changing care to some of the state’s most unwell children. A new paediatric Virtual Care Centre will also improve choices and access to 24/7 care for patients and families throughout NSW.
The infrastructure project will support almost 1,200 direct jobs during construction and help create 500 roles within paediatrics across the Randwick Health and Innovation Precinct.
